In 2007 and 2011, 800 Victorians were interviewed for their attitudes to science and technology. The unweighted sample is shown below, including splits by gender, age and location (click on the image below to enlarge):
In addition to these demographics, respondents also provided information on:
- Their household structure
- Their income
- Their work status – generally and relating to science
- Their country of origin
- Their level of access to the internet and digital TV
- The frequency with which they take part in various leisure activities
The demographic information relating to age, gender, location, education level (overall and in science) and population segment are used throughout this tool as the main filters for results. In the ‘Quantitative Results’ tab other demographic information can be explored.
Access the full report for a further comparison of the sample between 2007 and 2011. Also included in the full report are analysis of variance (ANOVA) tables of the attitudinal items that significantly differ between 2007 and 2011, when accounting for differences in survey demographics.
